The HTTPS Update

Why are these Juju Bandits mad? Well, UR just got more secURe! We’ve gone from HTTP to HTTPS on the website and game for tighter security.

Back in September of 2016, Google Chrome announced:

Beginning in January 2017 (Chrome 56), we’ll mark HTTP pages that collect passwords or credit cards as non-secure, as part of a long-term plan to mark all HTTP sites as non-secure.

Additionally, HTTPS support became more critical when an anti-internet-privacy bill was passed in March. This game update prevents your ISP from reading your chat messages or anything else you do in the game.

This means many of you have had issues playing the game after January due to Chrome issuing warning on HTTP sites. Now you should be fine because we’ve switched to HTTPS.

Thanks for all your understanding and patience. Have fun!
